Block Party – Creative Block – Home is where the heart is.

Today I am linking up with the QuiltStory Block Party by submitting my “Home is where the heart is” block.

I started this block right after I read about the block party and decided to do the state of Pennsylvania. Each county was machine stitched out and the heart over our home town was hand embroidered. The state is blanket stitched onto the Pennsylvania keystone and the whole block is done in the states colors, gold and navy. I intend on using this block as the center block to the “Story of our lives” quilt I will be working on.

Welcome

Welcome to the Aspire to Be blog. My name is Sarah, i am a 20 something Mom and crafter currently living in Indianapolis with my husband and 15 month old son. I have been crafting next to my mother for the past 20 years and have developed a passion for sewing and creating handmade items. Since becoming a Mom I have created items that are modern day essentials to me and I am happy to be able to offer them to all of you.

All of the items that I sell can be custom made to match any color or theme of your choice. Any item can be personalized with machine embroidery or appliqué. Creating personalized items brings be great joy so please feel free to email me, i look forward to working with you to create the perfect item!

I have had the opportunity in the last few weeks to sit down and really think out which direction I want to take my shop. This blog will be the main source of news for new products, tutorials, tips, links and all things crafting!
